the little things

This weekend was filled with very familiar events. Watching basketball games on Saturday morning, a Target run, a movie night with the girls, more laundry on the floor instead of being folded and put away, church, editing photos, yada-yada-yada.

But one event was a little different than usual . . . we got ourselves a brand new faucet. Isn't that exciting?! Okay, maybe not for you, but it's always fun to do little upgrades to your house whenever possible.

To be honest, we upgraded because we had to. We broke (yet another) faucet. This time it was the kitchen faucet. One day this summer, we noticed that it wasn't working quite right. When we would go to shut it off, it would just keep running. In order to actually turn the water off, we would have to push it down just right . . . so we have been jimmy-ing-it ever since. Unfortunately, we noticed that it was also leaking underneath the sink. So Carl got to work, and cleaned everything out.

He was really happy about it.

Goodbye to our old, generic, plain faucet

and Hello to our brand new, brushed nickel-look, curved kitchen faucet.

I can honestly say, I now feel fancier when I turn the water on and off :)

Happy Monday! Make sure to take pleasure in the little things!
