Egg-stravaganza!

Yesterday, we took part in our annual Easter egg-dying festivities.
While Claire took her nap, I got everything we needed out and ready to go.

newspaper - check!
glitter - check!
paint brushes - check!
glue - check!
dye cups - check!
weird dye tablets - check!
tie-dye kit - check!
stickers - check!

Ella was (im)patiently awaiting egg-dying time. For her, Claire's nap too WAY to long!

After Claire's nap, we were ready! Clarie was ready to get into the basket that was full of grass . . .

The girls tie-dyed some eggs and painted glue on others and rolled them in glitter. We also went the traditional route, and dyed eggs into every shade of the pastel rainbow.

We had tons of fun, but of course, Jocie and Ella will find every opportunity to argue about anything and everything! So I decided to capture that moment as well. What can I say, we are a real family :)

We even tried to get Claire excited about dying eggs. We let her explore (taste) the egg . . .

then she showed her prize to daddy . . .

then she lost interest, and wanted to get out of her high chair. If she not eating, she doesn't want anything to do with that high chair :)

Ella and I tried to use the shrink wrap decoration. The directions told us that if we put the wrapper around the egg, and then dip it into hot water, it would shrink around the egg . . . they lied. It didn't work.

When all was said and done, we had a lot of fun and created some very bright, fun and imaginative eggs this year. I'm sure the Easter Bunny will be impressed!

These are the girls favorite eggs. They are being featured on these little stands I made out of used baby food jars.
(Jocie's favorite = tie-dye, Claire's favorite = who am I kidding, I made this one, Ella's favorite = gold glitter)

We hope you all have a Blessed Easter!
